Just like any child is with the parents, many times we try so hard to impress our parents and yet, sometimes, we fail them and overcome with disappointment. Same happens in our relationship with God, we really want to please Him but often times in our walk with Him, we fall.
The cause of the fall is not the focus here, but what happens after the fall.
There is the temptation to stay down is immense but, if you remember that nothing can separate us from the love of God, then you will rise up, dust yourself up, ask God for his forgiveness and resolve to live as a better Christian with the help of God’s grace.
While on that resolve, remember, it is God who causes us to will and to do of His great pleasures (Philippians 2:13) so when you feel like you are drifting off the godly path, pray, ask God for the grace to please Him through whatever situation it is that you find yourself in.
Whatever you do, DO NOT STAY DOWN.
